The Assignment

Make a variety of CSS layouts that explore the use of this approach to web design as a way to learn this most valuable skill.

I have to admit that although I have no real problems styling my pages using CSS for typography, when it comes to layouts it has long been a thorn in my side. I finally have decided to crack open my Lynda.com account and beginning getting to the bottom of this.

The Goal

To learn the inner workings of CSS and be a more technically proficient web designer. Understand through hands-on experience the advantages of using CSS layouts. Also, how to work around browser problems to create high quality designs that are clean efficient and esy to maintain.

Here is a a list of links to experiments, many of which have gone array. This area of my site is as the title WebR&D implies is about learning from my mistakes, mistakes off the job. I will leave warts and all so that I can go back and learn.
