Vertical Nav Bar

This navigation was taken from a tutorial by Danial Short on Lynda.com.

This is part of the same set of tutorials where I got the horizontal nav bar, same system it's really down to setting inline or block. For both the vertical and the horizonatl I will have to go over them a couple of times to really get it down, there are quite a few steps. However, I think once I have this it will make creating nav bars so much easier and faster to edit.

I have seen a tutorial on alistapart.com that is called "Sliding Doors and takes this type of approach an combines it with images of slightly 3D rounded corners for tabs. I will try and find this and have a go at that soon.
