Introduction to OSX
Take pictures of students and have students introduce themselves.
Introduction to first project; “Architecture in Southern California”
Demonstrations: intro to the Mac OSX operating system, copying files to a portable storage device such as a USB drive, making folders, naming folders, accessing the network, file find, saving files into the correct location adding an icon to a drive.
Class projects:
Downloading images to iPhoto. Students will crop their photo and type their name on it, change the resolution, flatten the image and save as a jpg format to e-mail to the instructor.
Homework:
Buy Materials, read notes and look at web links provided on week 1 – class 1 sheet. Do research for the first project. Do thumbnail ideation for first project (see class 1 sheet for more details).
